College Major / Career help please ???!?
I am a Senior and will be applying to colleges soon. I have a problem, however, I do not know what we would choose to major in. I'm taking business from my high school, and as marketing and sales. If their is anything they love to do for the rest of my life however, would be to write / create cartoons or movies / ads, but I can see myself enjoying a job in a company marketing. My question to you is, what I choose for a major to cover the areas i listed? (Please have mercy on me and I know … an obvious title would be a in the marketing business) I live in northwest Ohio, and I am willing to travel out of state. I have an average of 3.2 and has a record 23. Pretty sure this is not scholarship in abundance, but either. And thanks for the info so far, very helpful
If you want to get into sales I would not really matter what major because you learn almost everything in the first six months in office. All you really need to make sure of is that you do not mind cold calling, which is the most difficult sales. If you wants to make more low-level marketing in marketing. Want to make high-level marketing then you will have to get your MBA, but that does not mean you must have an undergraduate marketing degree. If you want to do the other things go to a good liberal arts college because it is good to be creative.
