Do you think college is a waste of time and money?

Especially the larger schools like Harvard, UMich, Yale, etc? I've seen many bright students from these schools hold the cards against him. The systems of these schools, and many other four-year colleges was created to channel many bright students in the fields of arts, where they learn after graduation anyone hire them. Meanwhile, I have seen so many high school graduates and community college graduates get great jobs. Is it time to study the magazines and books to recommend colleges and focused on the preparation students for the labor market, rather than those who are concerned about their academic reputation and the departments of humanities?

I have a degree and I for my master, having taken a break of three years. For years I wondered if it was worth the time and money I spent on college since he was unable to find a job related to my field. Now I realize that it was worth. with respect to employment, I made the mistake of going for an internship while I was in school. You're right, universities do not prepare students for the labor market. On the other hand, although my brother has a better job than me though that only has a GED (which is also far more ambitious than me), has been unable to move up the managerial position because he never went to college. The college experience offers a whole new way of seeing things … can not get a purely with experience. As Ivy League schools, the name can make some difference, but education is not all that much better. Another advantage of going to college is that some careers require a degree and career but no, you may change your mind later (like me) and if you already have a degree and career requires a mastery that you will not have to start from scratch.
