I'm thinking of quitting my job in radio sales to start a modeling and advertising agency from home.?
I think it's time to start my own business. I have a degree in communication and work experience in the previous model agency. I am a thesis away from completing a master's degree in adult ed. I live in Atlanta, where there are several others achieve this same interest. I saved a years worth of living expenses for this to happen, but people say I'm crazy for leaving my radio work sale, which no longer have interests. I also wonder if I should invest in office space to have a more professional environment for clients and models? Should I jump appointed in the faith without coming inbound or signed contracts? It's not like I'm doing a heck of a lot of radio sales, but I'm skilled in writing proposals and convincing customers to buy my products. I purch help all I can think of books in the areas of self-employment, public relations, consulting, planning events, marketing, etc.
WOW. That is a difficult question. Do you have a model of "sell"? You must have "products." Who or what is going to "sell"? You have to have a portfolio of work for potential customers. Are you a photographer, and if not, do you know who make a portfolio for their models if they do not have one? A model without the "Book" is like an eagle without wings. " Advertising agent …. is just that. Get a body working together, and then go ahead. Plus, you're in sales for the radio … use this as a springboard for your business. Make friends with the right people. I call a publicity agent in your area and ask for a job, then you can learn the business inside out /. It is not an easy business. * Or call an agency in New York or Atlanta … find some # s' on the Internet before taking this leap. * Work for an agency is the best bet …. if you think you're good enough to start his own company, to try your wings in a set agcy> first see how you do then consider taking that plunge.
