Do I need Windows source license for business use of the logo?
Tried searching, but in vain. I feel this is a straightforward yes, but I just wanted to check. Basically, I am a web designer is stuck with the creation of two logos for a new company. They have used Century Gothic Bold and Segoe Script – both of which came installed with my copy of Windows 7. Since they will use these logos for professional use, and the marketing and the real product, they need to "buy" the sources to be used legally? I see www.ascenderfonts.com () will sell both for $ 30 each, but 1-5 seems to be certified by computers, not actual business print / software / web use. Thanks!
You only need a license to redistribute or alter the design of the source itself, not to use the source. The company that made the source expected to be used in print.
