Anyone have any suggestions or how to start a new line of clothing for men? Marketing?
First, what is the function of his being? Are you a designer? Will you manage the business but have no experience in the design? Consider how much you knowledge management have. If you are a designer, we find some people who know how to write a good business plan. If you're more in the business / management side, you are some good freelance designers out there as a start. Anyway, do your homework on what is already out there, and try to find a niche in the market for your business to take advantage. Most importantly, however, cling to their current job while your new business a success. Most successful entrepreneurs (although there are some cases) do not abandon all sources of income and go at once. As for the marketing of your business, find out who are your target customers are first – and this relates that the gaps are in the market (usually a combination of age, race / ethnicity, income, body type, style, etc.) So adapt their language and design of marketing toward them (make sure to research what's hot between white and what is not being addressed!) and search means better, more affordable (at first) to reach them (like the web, if your goal tends to use it – probably the most cost-effective to build your brand from the perspective of consciousness – then worry about getting in magazines, retailers, etc..)
