What is the value of a certificate of professional marketing management?
I have an engineering background and have been working in technical sales in the last three years. I'm thinking of attending NYU SCPS for my Professional Certificate in Marketing Management. Does anyone see value in this if you want to become a sales manager, marketing manager of a day? Is this something that an employer certificate value or simply see it as a useless piece of paper? I also want to get my MBA, but time constraints and make frequent trips so I'll have to wait until it is old / experienced enough for executive programs. Is this professional certificate make me a better view of the best MBA programs?? Thank you.
I have been in the marketing of more than 20 years and have found that people do not value a marketing degree 4-year high. I can not imagine that a certificate would be different. Seriously, do not waste your time or money. What is valued is what he has accomplished in one position.
