How to generate affiliate sales in a "timely" fashion?
Here's another question I have for those familiar with the business of affiliate marketing (where you promote other people's things on your website or blog). I've been in the business of affiliate marketing for a while (Which mainly use Linkshare, Commission Junction, Amazon, Ebay, and Clickbank Clickbooth and affiliate programs a few levels, such as Global Domains International). However, I noticed that some advertisers (especially in Commission Junction) that you expect to generate sales for them in a "timely" fashion (eg within 6 months or less) and some you may terminate your program if you do not generate sales for them very soon. Currently I have two websites, but have a low page rank at the time (Which are relatively new, after all) and therefore does not receive a lot of traffic to them. Anyway, you can generate affiliate sales in a short period of time (say six months or less)? If so, what is the best method to accelerate the process?
If you want to generate sales in a short period of time, you have to drive much traffic to your website in a much shorter period of time. Unless you are very lucky indeed not receive any sales. One study which says that only 2% of people who visit your website are more likely to become contributors. So there is really no way to speed up the process unless willing to commit to building traffic to their websites first (in the end, really worth because it will give more options on how financial gain through their site …).
